“To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
These are the words of the One who holds the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation for being alive, yet you are dead.
Wake up and strengthen what remains, which was about to die; for I have found your deeds incomplete in the sight of My God.
Remember, then, what you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know the hour when I will come upon you.

Oh Lord, let us pray and seek your face! Let us fall to the ground in worship and surrender. Holy Spirit search our hearts, and remove anything that may be quenching your life giving Spirit within us. How terrifying to think that we might have fooled ourselves into death. That we have convinced ourselves we are clean, when the inside is rotting away. Lord, save us from our pride. Help us to repent, and to lean on you for guidance and understanding. Give us a fear of you Lord Almighty, for You are worthy to be praised!
